Position: Graduate Assistant
Hometown: San Diego, CA
Can’t travel without: A knife (or two, or three…)
I am a generation behind in my family. That is, I was born when my brothers were 18 and 22 years old. I was raised in San Diego and I blame that city for making me so laid back. At the center of both my immediate and extended family exists a deep love for Christ and a yearning to be witnesses to His love to all peoples.
My major hobby is backpacking. My dad took me on my first backpack trip when I was 4 years old and I haven’t stopped since. I enjoy spending time outdoors and in the wild, particularly in the mountains. In recent years, I have traveled to India, China, and East Africa. I am excited to be able to travel on this Around-the-World Semester® not just for the adventure, but for the adventure together with 36 other awesome people. I am most thrilled about the spiritual community of this team and all of the crazy, difficult, amazing, and life-changing things that God will teach us in the next few months.
Psalm 27:13-14: “I remain confident of this: I will see the goodness of the LORD in the land of the living. Wait for the LORD; be strong and take heart and wait for the LORD.”
